From childhood, Valaeva knew that she wanted to become an actress and did not represent any other profession. When she announced to her parents that she wanted to enter VGIK, they were against it, but did not dissuade her daughter. From the very first time, Elena managed to enter. And already in her sophomore year she got the main role in the film "Children under 16".
And then the famous role of Betty. All the next 14 films in which Elena starred were shot by her husband Igor Voznesensky. The couple met in their student years and have not parted since then.
Elena played her last role in 1991, but due to a chronic illness she could no longer work. She spent the last years of her life in the country, taking care of her home and family. The actress died at the age of 57.
