I urgently needed to leave for work for a few days, and my husband refused to stay with the child alone for 3 days. There was no other way out, I had to ask the mother-in-law to look after the child. To be honest, I delayed this moment to the last, because I knew for sure that my life would change a lot after that.
You might think I'm crazy, but I wrote a whole list of what my son can eat and what not. She wrote what words she already understands, what animals she knows, what toys she likes to play with. I also wrote a schedule for her when her son should sleep and noted that in no case should this schedule be violated.

And so, I come back three days later and my worst nightmares came true. All these days she constantly fed him with all sorts of nasty things, and she explained it like “how can we eat, but not give him?”. And the worst thing is that his sleep mode is out of order. But I have been working for so long to teach him to fall asleep at the same time with us.
Any mother will understand me how difficult it is to accustom a child to the regime, and now all my efforts are down the drain!
I will never be able to leave my son with her again, otherwise the next time I may not recognize him at all.

Do you happily leave children with grandparents?
