Looking at these photos, you doubt the reality of this world

An unnamed figure under a bright blue sky, parts of her skin covered in seven round objects as blue as her surroundings. Is this young woman confronting or defending herself? The next image gives a slightly broader view of the landscape: rocky, dry, deserted. The wood, partly painted in an intense shade of red, brutally cuts through the frame. Another characteristic feature of my work of the photographer Sanji Marusik is the extended, desert landscapes. She likes to view the road as her studio, material and canvas: the work is inspired, thought out and created during her wanderings from one national park to another. What's more, every tool and attribute used in the frames was purchased locally and left behind upon returning home.
