6 years of operations turned the ugly duckling into a beautiful swan

Ellie Jones lived in a real nightmare until the age of 14 - crooked teeth, an irregular jaw, a frightening smile. The reason for such a terrible deformation is a rare pathology, due to which the girl's jaw stopped growing from childhood.

Due to the carelessness of the parents, who noticed their daughter's problem too late, the orthodontist said that the braces would not correct the situation and it would be impossible for Ellie to return straight teeth and a healthy look.

But, maxillofacial surgeon Emma Woolley instilled hope in Ellie's heart and promised that she would help the young girl restore a healthy appearance.

Ellie underwent her first surgery at the age of 16. The X-ray image clearly shows how the shape of the upper and lower jaw and the oval of the face have changed, thanks to the extended chin.

But, as the saying goes, "beauty requires sacrifice" - not a single procedure of the girl was painless. Ellie admitted that the first months after the operation were the most painful - she had to eat only the most liquid food. For several months she could not speak at all, and after a long time she lisped due to edema of the tissues of the oral cavity.

And now, after 6 long years, Ellie can finally breathe deeply and smile broadly. Now the girl is engaged in dancing, dreams of becoming a photographer and making all her ideas and dreams come true.
