Rome resident Pernilla Betris, 22, has an amazing personality. The pupil of her left eye has a distorted shape and is located at the bottom of the iris. As a child, the girl considered it her zest, she was not at all shy about her peculiarity.
But when the girl went to school, she faced a completely different attitude. They laughed at her, and her peculiarity was considered a defect. Pernilla began to withdraw into herself, she became stressed, she was terribly self-conscious and tried to hide her pupil. The girl covered her eyes with bangs, used colored lenses.
However, she soon realized that the more she retreats and hides, the more people attack her. Therefore, she decided to protect herself and her identity. Pernilla posted a photo where she showed her eyes. Surprisingly, the reaction of people was very different. Many were delighted with her eyes and asked Pernilla not to hide her peculiarity. Now she has become more confident in herself and proud of her unique eye.
